Burneston, Swainby with Allerthorpe & Theakston Parish Council

Burneston, Swainby with Allerthorpe & Theakston Parish Council is made up of three villages with Burneston being the largest. Burneston is close to the A1 and close to the market towns of Bedale and Northallerton. 

It has a very good primary school called Burneston Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School which is in the centre of the village. The School Hall is used in the evening for many recreational functions. Behind the School there is a leisure field with play equipment, a goal post and a picnic area.

The Church is called St Lamberts Church and is situated on the outskirts of the village.

The Parish Council meet in the village school every second month when the date for the next meeting is agreed.
